Utexo, as a CTDG Dev Hub participant, announced RGB support for Tether’s Wallet Development Kit (WDK) via the Utexo SDK. This integration makes the RGB protocol, which issues assets on Bitcoin and executes smart contracts, compatible with existing wallet SDKs. While traditional SDKs assume on-chain asset states, RGB uses client-side validation and off-chain transfers; Bitcoin transactions only serve as anchors.

Utexo wdk-wallet-rgb Module Details

Utexo’s wdk-wallet-rgb module derives RGB keys from BIP-39 seeds by adding a custom adapter layer, integrating balance tracking, transaction flows, and backups into WDK’s standard interfaces. Developers no longer have to manage RGB transactions as a separate system. The module’s limitations do not include RGB Lightning node support, network configuration, and app-level UX; the focus is solely on wallet integration.
