An artists' collective led an "ICE Out" protest inside Levi's Stadium on Sunday during Super Bowl LX.

The protest, called "Flags in the Stands," was led by California-based advocacy group Contra-ICE. Organizers said it was directed at the "inhumane treatment" of immigrants and other people swept up in President Donald Trump's deportation regime. The group distributed custom towels around the stadium as fans filed in, which featured a nod to the 2026 halftime performer, Bad Bunny, and the slogan "ICE Out."

"In moments like this, we can show empathy, stand together, and remind people that no matter what is happening politically, we still have the power to dream, create, and speak out against injustice," Dali Colorado, founder of Contra-ICE said in a statement.

Lead organizer Shasti Conrad added that the protest was designed to "build on the momentum" created by Bad Bunny and other celebrities during the recent Grammys, where many attendees repeated the phrase "ICE Out" in protest of the Trump administration.

"Culture often leads politics, and moments like this show how people are using joy, creativity, and visibility to push back against ICE and demand a country that truly lives up to its promise to welcome immigrants," Conrad said.

The protest was organized at a time when Trump's immigration forces are facing increased scrutiny. During a recent surge in Minneapolis, Trump's forces shot and killed two American citizens. The deaths sparked protests and bipartisan calls for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff, to be fired or removed from office.

President Donald Trump's "deportation trains" will continue running if Democrats don't change their tone during budget negotiations, one analyst warned on Sunday.

Over the last several weeks, Democrats in Congress have threatened to defund Trump's Department of Homeland Security after immigration officers killed two American citizens in Minneapolis. However, the tone of those conversations has shifted, leading journalist David Shuster to warn in a new Substack essay on Sunday that Democrats appear to be engaged in "moral bookkeeping" rather than showing the courage to stand up to Trump's immigration regime as voters expect.

He noted that Democratic leaders appear to be walking back threats to defund DHS during the next budget talks. The Democrats have also dropped their demand that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem be fired, Shuster wrote.

Shuster warned these actions all but ensure that "the deportation trains keep running on time."

He called on Democrats to continue pushing for structural reforms, even if it means shutting down DHS entirely.

"If Democrats are ever going to produce meaningful change, we should be willing to take real, structural action and not settle for symbolic reforms. This isn’t a time for democratic party modesty and pragmatism," he wrote. "People are being rounded up and disappeared. Protesters have been shot and killed. And DHS still refuses to fully cooperate with local Minneapolis prosecutors."

"Defunding is not radical," Shuster continued. "It is the only language Donald Trump and his republican enablers in Congress will understand. Everything else is sermonizing—cheap, shallow, and utterly ineffective."

"Politically and morally, democrats must be bold and strong. It’s not enough to express shock at Trump’s DHS, request technology changes, and ask federal agents to be more respectful of the Constitution," he added.

The latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files released last week revealed a "deeply untoward" connection between President Donald Trump and a wealthy investor, one expert has said.

Russ Baker, founder and editor-in-chief of WhoWhatWhy, wrote in a new Substack essay on Sunday that Trump appears to be currying favors for Leon Black, the disgraced co-founder of Apollo Global Management, who resigned from the firm in 2021 when his ties to Epstein, a convicted sex criminal, were receiving increased scrutiny. He noted Trump's appointment of Black's son, Benjamin, to lead the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, and the subsequent reactions to that move, as evidence that something other than a simple quid pro quo is at play.

"This may be the understatement of the year: Something deeply untoward appears to be hidden just beneath the surface of recently released documents as they relate to certain people," Baker wrote.

After Trump appointed Benjamin Black to his position, the elder Black purchased a significant sum of the debt Elon Musk incurred when he purchased Twitter in 2022, Baker noted.

The Trump administration has also moved to prevent Democrats like Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) from retrieving federal reports that could further link Black to Epstein's nefarious activities. Black was accused of raping underage girls in two separate lawsuits, Baker noted, but the law firms representing both women subsequently withdrew from the cases.

Baker added that Black paid Epstein in the neighborhood of $170 million for alleged real estate and tax consulting services, which Wyden is investigating to see if that sum was for legitimate professional services or not. However, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has stalled turning over the reports Wyden needs for his investigation, Baker wrote.

"With Epstein dead, Black is one of the few people who might know more than anyone else alive about things Trump would not want made public," Baker wrote. "Which could potentially explain what Trump wants in return for his many favors to Black: specifically, Black’s continued silence."

Fans of President Donald Trump's MAGA movement lashed out at survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's heinous crimes on Sunday for releasing an advertisement during the Super Bowl.

Survivors plan to release an advertisement on social media calling out the Trump administration's handling of the Epstein files. Last week, the administration released the personal information of more than 40 victims, which one survivor said on Sunday was an attempt to "silence" them.

The ad is being released at a time when Congress is preparing to depose Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, on Monday. Maxwell's attorneys have said she will invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

News of the ad by survivors didn't sit well with some fans of Trump's MAGA movement, who shared their reactions on social media.

"And this is how you know this is political and a psyop," the MAGA commentary group "Mostly Peaceful Latinas" posted on X. "Someone paid big money to have this as play during the Super Bowl tonight. People need to wake up from their conspiracy world and arrive back at reality."

"I’m all for releasing the files. These women could also just name their abusers at any time," MAGA commentator Matt Walsh posted on X. "Instead they’ve embarked on a months-long publicity campaign which curiously didn’t start until the exact moment Biden left office. They profess to know the names of child rapists in the most powerful positions in society yet they won’t tell us. They’ll even take out a Super Bowl ad while claiming to be silenced, even though they’re the ones refusing to give us the information they say they have."

"Who's paying for this?" right-wing commentator Michael Tracey posted on X.
