Vortex Bridged KOIN (VKOIN) Information
Koinos is an open-source Layer-1 blockchain whose mainnet launched on November 5, 2022. It uses Proof-of-Burn consensus: block producers burn KOIN to receive Virtual Hash Power (VHP), which gives them the right to produce blocks and is consumed over time, instead of buying hardware or locking capital in a stake. Koinos has no transaction fees. Every KOIN balance regenerates a resource called mana, and mana rather than a fee is consumed when transacting, so applications can be free to use and mana can be delegated to sponsor users who hold no tokens. Smart contracts are compiled to WebAssembly and are written in TypeScript or C++. KOIN is the native token of the network. vKOIN is the bridged representation of KOIN outside the Koinos chain: KOIN locked in the Vortex bridge is minted as vKOIN on Ethereum (ERC-20), and that Ethereum vKOIN is further bridged to Base and Solana through Wormhole. This listing covers the vKOIN token on Ethereum, Base and Solana, which currently hosts the only on-chain trading venues for the asset.
Vortex Bridged KOIN (VKOIN) Tokenomics: Key Metrics Explained and Use Cases
Understanding the tokenomics of Vortex Bridged KOIN (VKOIN) is essential for analyzing its long-term value, sustainability, and potential.
Key Metrics and How They Are Calculated:
Total Supply:
The maximum number of VKOIN tokens that have been or will ever be created.
Circulating Supply:
The number of tokens currently available on the market and in public hands.
Max Supply:
The hard cap on how many VKOIN tokens can exist in total.
FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation):
Calculated as current price × max supply, giving a projection of total market cap if all tokens are in circulation.
Inflation Rate:
Reflects how fast new tokens are introduced, affecting scarcity and long-term price movement.
Why Do These Metrics Matter for Traders?
High circulating supply = greater liquidity.
Limited max supply + low inflation = potential for long-term price appreciation.
Transparent token distribution = better trust in the project and lower risk of centralized control.
High FDV with low current market cap = possible overvaluation signals.
