OG Prediction Market Launches With CFTC-Regulated Contracts

6 min read

A new consumer-focused platform is entering the forecasting arena, as the OG prediction market seeks to blend trading, social interaction, and gamified rewards.

Crypto.com-backed OG goes live with CFTC-regulated markets

On February 3, 2026, Crypto.com announced the official launch of OG, a new prediction market experience designed for mainstream users. The platform combines the accessibility of a consumer app, the engagement tools of a social network, and the rigor of an institutional-grade trading venue.

Backed by Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA), OG offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of CFTC-regulated sports event contracts currently available. Moreover, users can access additional contracts tied to financial, political, cultural, and entertainment events, broadening the prediction market universe beyond sports.

To accelerate adoption, OG is launching with a promotional offer. The first one million users who sign up will be eligible to receive up to $500 in rewards, underscoring the push to quickly build network effects and liquidity.

Market forecasts, social features, and leaderboard mechanics

OG is powered and offered by CDNA, a CFTC-registered exchange and clearinghouse and an affiliate of Crypto.com. The platform enables users to trade on the likelihood of real-world outcomes, from the winner of the Super Bowl and March Madness to macroeconomic indicators, entertainment results, and cultural trends.

The app aggregates market-driven probabilities into clear, continuously updated forecasts. As a result, users receive a transparent snapshot of what the market crowd believes will happen next. Furthermore, OG incorporates a social layer that lets sports fans and other consumers connect with traders, share views, and celebrate successful calls.

In addition to its prediction markets app features, OG plans to integrate access to CDNA’s margin prediction contracts offering via Crypto.com’s federally licensed futures commission merchant. According to the company, this will make OG the first prediction markets platform to support margin trading, bringing leveraged functionality more commonly seen in traditional derivatives markets.

Strategy behind the standalone platform

Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com, framed OG as a natural extension of the firm’s existing trading ecosystem. He noted that Crypto.com built one of the largest brands and most widely used apps in cryptocurrency during a period of hypergrowth and regulatory complexity, and now aims to replicate that success in the prediction market segment.

Marszalek disclosed that Crypto.com’s prediction market business has recorded 40x weekly growth over the last six months. That said, he argued that this pace of expansion justifies a standalone platform with a dedicated brand and technology stack. The goal is to position OG as the premier sports prediction market platform, focused on customer experience and product breadth.

Leadership and regulatory milestones

As part of the launch, Nick Lundgren has been appointed CEO of OG. Lundgren also serves as Chief Legal Officer at Crypto.com, bringing a legal and regulatory lens to the new venture. Previously, as President of CDNA, he oversaw Crypto.com’s entrance into the nation’s first CFTC-regulated sports event contracts in December 2024.

Lundgren has also led Crypto.com’s broader licensing and certification strategy and played a key role in the acquisition of CDNA in 2022, then described as the largest acquisition in crypto industry history. Moreover, these milestones have helped establish the group as an industry leader in regulatory compliance.

Commenting on the launch, Lundgren said Crypto.com was the first company in the United States to offer federally licensed sports prediction contracts, making OG a logical next step. He described the sector as a “deca-billion dollar” industry and highlighted strong traction with existing prediction markets partners.

Product vision: parlays, margin trading, and social engagement

Lundgren emphasized that sports are the natural hub of prediction markets, creating a focal point for fans and traders. He outlined a vision where OG becomes a comprehensive platform “where it pays to be right,” combining trading, gamification, and community features.

Over time, the team plans to roll out parlays, expanded margin trading capabilities, and a more dynamic social layer. However, this expansion is expected to take place within a tightly controlled regulatory and compliance framework, given CDNA’s status as a CFTC-registered market and clearinghouse.

Within this roadmap, the og prediction market is positioned as both a consumer entertainment product and a gateway into more sophisticated event-based derivatives, while still aiming to keep the interface accessible for non-professional users.

VIP program and sports partnership ecosystem

At launch, OG will feature a VIP program that leverages Crypto.com’s extensive portfolio of sports and entertainment partnerships. The company describes this as a best-in-class initiative designed to deliver exclusive fan experiences linked to major venues and events.

These experiences will tap into relationships with the Crypto.com Arena, UFC, Formula 1, the UEFA Champions League, and other partners. Moreover, the program aims to tie prediction activity and performance on OG to real-world rewards, enhancing engagement and loyalty.

Compliance, security, and market access

OG is built on Crypto.com’s security and compliance infrastructure, which the company characterizes as industry-leading. This foundation is expected to support robust consumer protections, including tools and resources that help users manage exposure and trade more responsibly.

CDNA, an affiliate of Crypto.com, is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as both a designated contract market and a derivatives clearing organization. Through various technology providers and brands, including OG, CDNA offers access to trading prediction market contracts, as well as economic and cryptocurrency event contracts.

Margined trading of prediction market contracts remains subject to the certification of such products with the CFTC. Nevertheless, Crypto.com and CDNA view this area as a significant avenue for future growth, provided regulatory approvals are secured.

Geographic focus and access

OG will be headquartered in the United States and will initially target the U.S. market. However, there are already plans to expand globally in the near future, reflecting the international footprint of Crypto.com and the cross-border appeal of sports and event-based markets.

Fans in the U.S. can access OG by downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, or by visiting the web platform at https://og.com/. The company encourages users to “make your call” and engage with the platform’s trading and social features.

About OG and Crypto.com

OG, a Crypto.com company, provides CFTC-compliant technology for access to a federally regulated derivatives platform where users can trade, interact with others, and climb the leaderboard. The platform aims to allow sports fans and broader consumers to act on uncertainty, monetize accurate predictions, and celebrate wins through a wide offering of sports and cultural event contracts.

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com serves millions of users worldwide and positions itself as a leader in regulatory compliance, security, and privacy. Its stated vision is “Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet” and it focuses on accelerating digital asset adoption by empowering builders, creators, and entrepreneurs to shape a more equitable digital ecosystem.

CDNA underpins this strategy in the derivatives space, while OG extends the brand into regulated prediction markets, combining trading, entertainment, and social engagement in a single platform.

In summary, OG launches as a regulated, rewards-driven prediction market platform backed by Crypto.com’s infrastructure, aiming to become a central hub for sports and event-based trading in the U.S. and, eventually, worldwide.

The post The Manchester City Donnarumma Doubters Have Missed Something Huge appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 14: Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City celebrates the second City goal during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Manchester United at Etihad Stadium on September 14, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Visionhaus/Getty Images) Visionhaus/Getty Images For a goalkeeper who’d played an influential role in the club’s first-ever Champions League triumph, it was strange to see Gianluigi Donnarumma so easily discarded. Soccer is a brutal game, but the sudden, drastic demotion of the Italian from Paris Saint-Germain’s lineup for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur before he was sold to Manchester City was shockingly brutal. Coach Luis Enrique isn’t a man who minces his words, so he was blunt when asked about the decision on social media. “I am supported by my club and we are trying to find the best solution,” he told a news conference. “It is a difficult decision. I only have praise for Donnarumma. He is one of the very best goalkeepers out there and an even better man. “But we were looking for a different profile. It’s very difficult to take these types of decisions.” The last line has really stuck, especially since it became clear that Manchester City was Donnarumma’s next destination. Pep Guardiola, under whom the Italian will be playing this season, is known for brutally axing goalkeepers he didn’t feel fit his profile. The most notorious was Joe Hart, who was jettisoned many years ago for very similar reasons to Enrique. So how can it be that the Catalan coach is turning once again to a so-called old-school keeper? Well, the truth, as so often the case, is not quite that simple. As Italian soccer expert James Horncastle pointed out in The Athletic, Enrique’s focus on needing a “different profile” is overblown. Lucas Chevalier,…

The post This U.S. politician’s suspicious stock trade just returned over 200% in weeks appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. United States Representative Cloe Fields has seen his stake in Opendoor Technologies (NASDAQ: OPEN) stock return over 200% in just a matter of weeks. According to congressional trade filings, the lawmaker purchased a stake in the online real estate company on July 21, 2025, investing between $1,001 and $15,000. At the time, the stock was trading around $2 and had been largely stagnant for months. OPEN’s stock rally Notably, Opendoor’s rally has been fueled by major corporate shifts and market speculation. For instance, in August, the company named former Shopify COO Kaz Nejatian as CEO, while co-founders Keith Rabois and Eric Wu rejoined the board, moves seen as a return to the company’s early innovative spirit.  Outgoing CEO Carrie Wheeler’s resignation and sale of millions in stock reinforced the sense of a new chapter. Beyond leadership changes, Opendoor’s surge has taken on meme-stock characteristics. In this case, retail investors piled in as shares climbed, while short sellers scrambled to cover, pushing prices higher.  However, the stock is still not without challenges, where its iBuying model is untested at scale, margins are thin, and debt tied to…
