Every December, no matter what musical superstars release new music or who is promoting what, there is one song that is sure to become the biggest hit in America: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It remains one of the most successful tunes in United States history, and it surges in popularity each year without fail.

Carey’s biggest carol climbs on multiple Billboard charts and even returns to No. 1 on several of the most competitive rosters this week. This year, a different Christmas cut from the same chanteuse also ascends. Carey scores a brand new top 10 hit in America this frame as the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” effect expands beyond just one title.

“Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” Hits the Top 10

Carey’s cover of the yuletide classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” grows on multiple Billboard charts this week. The track cracks the top 10 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales list for the very first time as it improves from No. 12 to No. 5.

Mariah Carey Lands Her Milestone Tenth Top 10 Smash

Carey collects her milestone tenth top 10 win on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, Billboard’s ranking of the bestselling individual tunes in those styles. “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” is now tied in her catalog with “Fall in Love at Christmas,” which also credits Khalid and Kirk Franklin and which stalled at No. 5 back in 2021.

Carey has reached No. 1 on the tally with three tunes. “Oh Santa!” with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson opened at No. 1 in December 2020. Carey joined rapper Latto on “Big Energy,” which ran the show for five frames. This summer, “Type Dangerous,” featured on her most recent album Here for It All, also entered at the summit.

“Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” Returns to Its Best Position

As “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” surges to No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, the single climbs to the same spot on another, related list. The reworking of the track originally made famous by Darlene Love on A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector jumps back to No. 5 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, returning to its all-time high.

Mariah Carey’s “In Your Feelings” Climbs at Radio

As “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” performs better than ever on one list, “In Your Feelings,” another single pushed from Carey’s 2025 album, also grows in stature. “In Your Feelings” hits never-before-seen peaks on both the Adult R&B Airplay and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts, pushing to Nos. 7 and 25 respectively, only a few weeks into its promotional run.

Mariah Carey Sends “All I Want for Christmas Is You” to No. 1

Of course, even as “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and “In Your Feelings” perform well, the focus is on “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” That track sleighs all the way back to No. 1 on the Hot 100, jumping from fifth place and supplanting Taylor Swift’s “The Fates of Ophelia” on top of the roster. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has now commanded the Hot 100 for 19 nonconsecutive frames, and it has returned to the summit every year since running the show for the first time back in 2019.

Mariah Carey Ties the All-Time Hot 100 Record

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is now tied as the longest-running No. 1 smash of all time. Both “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” from Shaboozey accomplished the same showing. Carey’s song will almost certainly become the first 20-week ruler in just a matter of days.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” Dominates Several Billboard Charts

As it reconquers the Hot 100, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” lifts across almost every Billboard chart, except for those where it was already in charge last time around. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” surges back to the top space on the Streaming Songs ranking, while also appearing within the top five on both of the company’s global rosters and the Digital Song Sales chart.
