The Solana Breakpoint 2025 conference takes place in Abu Dhabi from December 11-13, 2025. The Incrypted team is present at the event and has collected key announcements and the most important snippets of the speeches for you. The full broadcast of the first day can be found at the link.

After the opening remarks, Solana Foundation representatives Lilly Liu, head of the organization, and Akshay BD, marketing director, took the stage. According to them, this conference promises to be the largest of all previous ones, with more than 7,000 participants from 105 countries.

According to Akshaya DB, Solana today is “Silicon Valley in the blockchain space.” In addition, the regulatory shift has made 2025 the year of institutional adoption of the ecosystem, Liu noted.

To note, the first day featured several important updates on infrastructure, real world asset (RWA) tokenization, consumer products, and innovation. The Incrypted team has rounded up the key ones.

Solflare’s Co-CEO Philip Dragoslavich announced the Solflare Shield hardware wallet. The device, according to the presentation, stores private keys inside a secure chip, requires no charging, has no Bluetooth, no screen and no wires.

The wallet is comparable in size to a credit card. It comes with a 25-year warranty. It ranges in price from $49 to $79, but all conference attendees received one for free.

A key element of this talk was the announcement of a tokenized private liquidity fund that State Street Investment Management and Galaxy Asset Management intend to launch in early 2026. The product will be based on the Solana network. Read more in our piece.

In addition, the host and Novogratz discussed the impact of the U.S. regulatory environment on crypto market formation and perception, the role of Solana and its place among other blockchains, and the future of the industry.

According to Novogratz, the current downturn in the crypto market has several reasons. One of them is the whales’ desire to lock in profits at the level of bitcoin price above $100,000. At the same time, he remains bullish and looks to the future with optimism.

Coinbase exchange representatives Andrew Ellen and Sabs Sachdeva took part in the conference. Their presentation was devoted to the integration of the Solana network into the decentralized exchange (DEX) trading service available on Coinbase.

According to them, users will be able to trade any tokens on the Solana network directly from the exchange app without officially listing them. When exactly the innovation will be available, the speakers did not specify, noting that “soon.”

During the presentation, Sachdeva showed how it works in the app. Popular tokens appeared on the screen, then they were sifted through a network filter and bought Wojak tokens.

The company was represented by its CEO Eugene Chen. He announced the launch of Phoenix Perpetuals, a derivatives exchange on the Solana network. The solution was launched on December 11, 2025 in closed beta testing mode, the public release date is not specified.

The platform is positioned as a fully onchain derivatives exchange, including a risk assessment and matching engine, so, according to the announcement, anyone can create applications based on it.

The project was presented by Sian Bretnach, founder of Matariki Labs studio, one of the developers of the Keel Finance platform. The project is a platform that creates a capital management mechanism in the Solana ecosystem: it distributes liquidity and supports lending, borrowing and other onchain financial transactions.

The centerpiece of the keynote, however, was the announcement of the first season of Tokenization Regatta. This is an initiative to launch a $500 million fund to stimulate the development of the real-world tokenized asset (RWA) sector. Selected projects will receive direct funding and other support, he said.

According to Bretnach, 40 counterparties have already shown interest in the initiative.

Acceptance of applications for the first phase will begin Dec. 11. Two tracks will be available: one for issuers ready to deploy in early 2026 and one for those still building infrastructure.

SkyBridge Capital founder and former US Assistant to the President for Communications Anthony Scaramucci was also among the speakers on the first day. His speech was primarily focused on the launch of his book, “Solana Rising: Investing in the Fast Lane of Crypto.”

Scaramucci also shared a few predictions. In his opinion, the US authorities will still pass the Crypto Asset Relief Bill (CLARITY) in 2026, which will lay the groundwork for a rapid and widespread proliferation of the RWA sector.

According to Scaramucci, large companies such as BlackRock will use Solana specifically for mutual settlements. However, attracting institutionalization requires “outreach,” to which he refers in his book.

The host first asked Allaire if the cryptocurrency sphere has reached “the point of mainstream.” To this, he responded with the following:

As examples, Circle’s CEO mentioned the passage of the Stablecoin Act in the US (GENIUS) and his company’s initial public offering (IPO).

In the Solana section, he noted the following:

According to Allaire, in terms of USDC transaction volume, Solana significantly outpaces all other blockchains. And the network infrastructure facilitates the integration of stablecoin by other counterparties, he summarized.

Additionally, during the conversation, the presenter and Allaire touched on the synergies between blockchain and AI.

Note, these are by no means all the talks and cases presented at Solana Breakpoint 2025. The conference also saw the unveiling of a steiblcoin from Hong Kong-based OSL Group, a fully GENIUS-compliant USDGO, and a TER digital token backed by physical gold from the government of Bhutan.

There are two more days of the conference ahead and many more interesting announcements, as well as appearances by titled speakers. These include: Bybit CEO Ben Zhou, Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko, Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu, Multicoin Capital co-founder Tushar Jain, Solana Foundation CEO Dan Albert and others.

Note that the latter previously attended Incrypted Conference 2024. An interview with him is available on our website:
