Hong Kong is set to become the global focal point for Bitcoin this summer as Bitcoin Asia 2026 confirms its first wave of high-profile speakers for its upcoming two-day conference on August 27–28 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The event, organized by BTC Inc., a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc., and presented by Metaplanet Inc., is positioning itself as Asia’s largest Bitcoin-focused gathering to date.

Among the headline names is Balaji Srinivasan, founder of Network School and author of The Network State, widely known for his work at the intersection of Bitcoin, digital sovereignty, and internet-native governance. His participation underscores the conference’s ambition to bridge ideological, technological, and financial narratives shaping Bitcoin’s next adoption phase.

Organizers say this year’s edition arrives at a critical moment for global markets, where institutional Bitcoin adoption is accelerating while regulatory frameworks across Asia continue to evolve. Brandon Green, CEO of BTC Inc., emphasized the significance of cross-regional collaboration, noting that the event is designed to bring together Eastern and Western Bitcoin ecosystems during a period of macro uncertainty and structural financial change.

The speaker lineup reflects that global convergence. Political and regulatory voices include Dr. Hon. Johnny Ng Kit Chong, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, alongside Bilal Bin Saqib, Pakistan’s Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. Their presence highlights Asia’s increasingly active role in shaping digital asset policy at the state level.

On the institutional and corporate side, Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, will represent one of Japan’s most prominent corporate Bitcoin treasury strategies. He is joined by David Bailey, CEO of Nakamoto Inc., and Matt Cole, Chairman and CEO of Strive, both of whom have been vocal advocates of Bitcoin as a corporate balance sheet asset.

Macro-financial perspectives will be provided by Hugh Hendry, founder of Acid Capitalist and former hedge fund manager known for his public shift toward Bitcoin as a monetary asset. Meanwhile, Justin Sun, founder of TRON and advisor to WBTC and HTX, brings a perspective from the broader blockchain infrastructure and exchange ecosystem.

The exchange and trading sector will also be strongly represented, with Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, contributing insights from one of the world’s largest derivatives trading platforms.

Additional voices from Asia’s Bitcoin and Web3 infrastructure landscape include John Riggins, CEO of Moon Inc., Caspar Wong of Web3Labs, and Koji Higashi, co-founder of Diamond Hands, reflecting the growing depth of developer, startup, and community ecosystems across Japan, Hong Kong, and beyond.

With expectations of more than 10,000 attendees from over 125 countries, Bitcoin Asia 2026 aims to serve as a central meeting point for investors, policymakers, developers, and corporate leaders. Programming will span macroeconomic policy debates, Bitcoin treasury strategies, regulatory discussions, and open-source development sessions, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a strategic hub in the global digital asset economy.

Further speaker announcements are expected in the coming weeks as anticipation builds for what is shaping up to be one of the most significant Bitcoin conferences in Asia’s history.

The post XRP Ledger Upgrade Progress Puts $3.06 Resistance in Focus appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. XRPL Hub upgrade enhances validator connectivity and reliability for institutions XRP price trends show cautious optimism with resistance near $3.06 and support at $2.98 Technical indicators signal mild momentum as RSI holds neutral and MACD shows gains Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz has shared a fresh update on the ongoing XRP Ledger (XRPL) upgrade.  In a tweet on X today, he said “It’s going awesome! Here’s the past week,” highlighting steady progress on the XRPL Hub. The Hub, first unveiled on August 26, is designed to enhance network performance and reliability for institutional users. Related: Could 2,000 XRP Today Be Worth $100K by 2026? While testing experienced minor setbacks, the upgrade promises a faster, more stable, and more reliable infrastructure, potentially transforming how banks and large financial institutions interact with the XRP network. What the XRPL Hub Brings to the Table The XRPL Hub functions as a powerful server enhancing validator connectivity and network reliability. Consequently, it reduces the risk of outages and improves transaction load times. This improvement is particularly significant for institutions that demand uninterrupted access to financial services.  Moreover, the upgrade is a personal initiative from Schwartz rather than a standard Ripple product, highlighting his confidence in XRPL’s potential. By independently boosting the ecosystem, Schwartz underscores a long-term commitment to benefiting the XRP community and strengthening the network’s institutional adoption. XRP Price Trends and Market Outlook XRP is currently trading at $3.02, reflecting a 1.3% increase in the past 24 hours. The price movement shows moderate upward momentum, with higher lows indicating sustained buying interest. Key support sits around $2.98, while immediate resistance appears just above $3.06.  If XRP breaks past this resistance, further upward movement is likely. However, a retracement could retest the $2.98 support level. Trading volume in the last 24 hours reached $4.81 billion,…
