Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham, released a lengthy statement on Instagram on Monday clarifying rumors of a family feud, sparking frenzied speculation on social media.

The supposedly strained relationship between the Beckham family and Brooklyn, along with his wife Nicola Peltz, have inspired articles and social media commentary for years, but without hard evidence to back anything up.

Brooklyn’s Instagram post is packed with claims detailing his family’s allegedly controlling tendencies, shattering the Beckham’s carefully cultivated reputation of unity and harmony.

In his post, Brooklyn appeared to be cutting himself off from the Beckhams, writing: “I do not want to reconcile with my family.”

Online commentators quickly took to social media, debating the various allegations and posting memes about the family feud.

What Did Brooklyn Beckham Say About His Family?

In a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram Stories, Brooklyn made the bombshell claim that his parents had tried to “ruin” the relationship between him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

He wrote: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family.”

Brooklyn claimed that his parents have “controlled narratives in the press about our family” for his entire life.

“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into,” he wrote.

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Regarding his marriage, Brooklyn wrote: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”

Brooklyn claimed that his mother “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the 11th hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”

He alleged that his parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife and our future children.”

Brooklyn made several eyebrow-raising claims about his wedding, alleging that his mother called him “evil” because he and Nicola “chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Nanny at our table … Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.”

Brooklyn went on to claim that his mother “hijacked” his first wedding dance with Nicola and danced “inappropriately on me” in front of their guests, claiming that he had never felt more “uncomfortable or humiliated” in his life.

Brooklyn also alleged that his wife was not invited to his father’s 50th birthday party, and that he and his wife’s attempts to privately meet with David Beckham were rejected.

Brooklyn claimed that his family “values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.”

Brooklyn also claimed that his brothers, Romeo and Cruz Beckham, “were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer.”

Brooklyn also debunked long-simmering UK tabloid rumors that he is manipulated by Nicola and admitted that a life lived in the spotlight has taken a toll on his mental health.

“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life,” he wrote. “I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.”

Brooklyn concluded his statement by writing that he and his wife seek only “peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

The statement sent shockwaves through the internet, and commentators immediately began searching social media for clues to his long list of grievances against the Beckhams.

Social Media Reacts To Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram Post

Rumors of a Beckham family feud have been circulating long before Brooklyn posted his statement on Instagram, and fans of the famous family were torn about whose side to take.

Some expressed sympathy for Brooklyn, who was born into overwhelming fame, while others reckoned that his complaints were overblown.

Gossip-hungry commentators expressed excitement at the drama, waiting for more juicy details to be revealed.

David and Victoria Beckham might be the UK’s most beloved celebrity power couple, while Brooklyn has been mocked online as a “nepo baby” for several years.

Brooklyn’s various creative endeavors have often been viewed as out of touch—his photography book famously contains an underwhelming snapshot of an elephant, which went viral on release, and returned in the wake of the drama as a meme.

However, Brooklyn’s bombshell post challenged this narrative, with many finding his argument sympathetic, and looking back at Netflix’s Beckham documentary (which depicted the family in a positive light) with fresh skepticism.

The allegation that Victoria Beckham “hijacked” the first dance between Nicola and Brooklyn gathered the most attention online, with commentators finding humor in the awkward situation, cracking jokes about “boy moms.”

Others noted that framing used by The Sun, describing Brooklyn’s post as “nuclear,” was a jarring headline in the already-turbulent year of 2026.

On TikTok, Bethenny Frankel described the public feud as “sad” and compared the situation to the messy clash between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the Royal Family.

Several outlets dug up a red carpet clip from 2023, appearing to show visible tension between the Beckhams, seemingly validating Brooklyn’s claims.

Did David And Victoria Beckham Respond To Brooklyn’s Post?

I’ve contacted David and Victoria Beckham for comment, but at time of writing, neither have made a statement addressing the claims made by Brooklyn.

However, David Beckham seemed to hint at the family feud during his appearance at Davos 2026, speaking about children and the risks of social media.

Beckham said that he has tried to “use his platform” to set a good example and teach children about using social media for the “right reasons.”

“Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn,” Beckham said. “That’s what I try to teach my kids, but, you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
