AirAsia warns of fake careers website
AirAsia said the fake website mimics its official careers page and warned applicants against sharing personal details.
PETALING JAYA: AirAsia has issued an alert urging jobseekers to remain vigilant against a fraudulent website impersonating the airline’s official careers portal.
The low-cost carrier said the website, http://airasiaexpress.com, mimics AirAsia’s official careers page to collect personal information and requests the payment of “processing fees” as part of a fake hiring process.
AirAsia said its official careers portal is located exclusively at http://careers.airasia.com, and that the company never charges processing fees for job applications.
“Applicants are advised not to share personal details or payment information with unauthorised websites,” Bernama reported the airline as saying today.
The airline added that it continues to monitor such fraudulent activities and encouraged the public to verify all recruitment information through official channels.
