Koto Reimagines Marblex Brand to Make Web3 Gaming More Inviting

Global creative studio Koto has collaborated with South Korea–based Web3 gaming ecosystem Marblex to deliver a refreshed brand identity aimed at broadening the appeal of blockchain gaming. The rebrand was designed to make the platform more approachable for gamers who may be unfamiliar with decentralized technologies. Rather than emphasizing complex elements such as token exchanges, NFTs, and backend infrastructure, the new visual language redirects attention toward enjoyment, creativity, and play, which are central to gaming culture.

According to details surrounding the project, Marblex sought to overcome the perception that blockchain gaming is overly technical or intimidating. Koto approached this challenge by stripping away visual cues tied to complexity and replacing them with design elements that communicate accessibility and entertainment. The result is a brand that presents Web3 gaming as an enjoyable experience rather than a technological hurdle.

Research-Led Insights Shape a More Welcoming Identity

During the discovery phase, Koto’s team immersed itself in the Marblex ecosystem to better understand how blockchain gaming functions from a user perspective. Through this hands-on exploration, the studio identified a wide range of engaging and entertaining experiences available within the platform. However, it also became clear that these experiences were not immediately visible or inviting to newcomers. The redesign, therefore, focused on translating that sense of excitement into a visual identity that feels open and approachable.

This insight-driven process led to a deliberate repositioning of Marblex. Instead of educating users on how Web3 mechanics work, the brand now emphasizes why gaming on the platform can be enjoyable. By highlighting emotion and imagination, the new identity aims to lower psychological barriers and encourage first-time engagement.

Introducing a Mascot to Anchor Community and Culture

A central element of the rebrand is the introduction of a mascot designed to embody the spirit of the Marblex ecosystem. Koto selected a goblin character as a familiar symbol drawn from fantasy and gaming culture. This character, named Goby, appears throughout the brand’s visual system and represents exploration, rewards, and playful discovery.

Goby’s presence extends beyond illustration, influencing the overall aesthetic of the platform. The character is shown presenting loot and treasures, subtly reinforcing common gaming motivations while encouraging users to participate. This narrative-driven approach helps communicate the platform’s value in a way that feels intuitive to gamers.

Color, Typography, and Token Design Reinforce Playfulness

The goblin mascot inspired a distinctive color palette built around green tones complemented by off-white, black, and gray. This combination reinforces the fantasy theme while maintaining visual balance and clarity. Goby also played a role in the redesign of the Marblex crypto token, which now incorporates the character’s expressive grin across multiple visual formats, including icons and coin-style representations.

Typography further supports the playful direction. The updated logo features bold, rounded letterforms influenced by anime and manga thought bubbles. These are paired with a primary typeface rooted in Japanese media aesthetics, adding personality and cultural relevance. Together, these elements emphasize creativity and lightheartedness while maintaining a cohesive system.

A Strategic Message Focused on Imagination and Emotion

All design decisions were guided by a new strategic direction centered on prioritizing enjoyment and imaginative play. The brand’s messaging reinforces the idea that fun takes precedence, positioning Marblex as a space where creativity and community thrive. The overarching concept frames the platform as a playground for imagination, signaling freedom and exploration rather than technical instruction.

From Koto’s strategic viewpoint, Marblex did not require another Web3 identity focused on explaining technology. Instead, the platform needed a compelling emotional reason for users to engage. By shifting emphasis from mechanics to meaning, the rebrand gives Marblex a clearer voice within the blockchain gaming sector. This approach is intended to invite participation, foster community, and make Web3 gaming feel accessible to a much wider audience.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

Ethereum Price Prediction: ETH Targets $10,000 In 2026 But Layer Brett Could Reach $1 From $0.0058

Ethereum price predictions are turning heads, with analysts suggesting ETH could climb to $10,000 by 2026 as institutional demand and network upgrades drive growth. While Ethereum remains a blue-chip asset, investors looking for sharper multiples are eyeing Layer Brett (LBRETT). Currently in presale at just $0.0058, the Ethereum Layer 2 meme coin is drawing huge [...] The post Ethereum Price Prediction: ETH Targets $10,000 In 2026 But Layer Brett Could Reach $1 From $0.0058 appeared first on Blockonomi.

Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 18:00 Discover why BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet launch makes it the best crypto to buy today as Story (IP) price jumps to $11.75 and Hyperliquid hits new highs. Recent crypto market numbers show strength but also some limits. The Story (IP) price jump has been sharp, fueled by big buybacks and speculation, yet critics point out that revenue still lags far behind its valuation. The Hyperliquid (HYPE) price looks solid around the mid-$50s after a new all-time high, but questions remain about sustainability once the hype around USDH proposals cools down. So the obvious question is: why chase coins that are either stretched thin or at risk of retracing when you could back a network that’s already proving itself on the ground? That’s where BlockDAG comes in. While other chains are stuck dealing with validator congestion or outages, BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet will be stress-testing its EVM-compatible smart chain with real miners before listing. For anyone looking for the best crypto coin to buy, the choice between waiting on fixes or joining live progress feels like an easy one. BlockDAG: Smart Chain Running Before Launch Ethereum continues to wrestle with gas congestion, and Solana is still known for network freezes, yet BlockDAG is already showing a different picture. Its upcoming Awakening Testnet, set to launch on September 25, isn’t just a demo; it’s a live rollout where the chain’s base protocols are being stress-tested with miners connected globally. EVM compatibility is active, account abstraction is built in, and tools like updated vesting contracts and Stratum integration are already functional. Instead of waiting for fixes like other networks, BlockDAG is proving its infrastructure in real time. What makes this even more important is that the technology is operational before the coin even hits exchanges. That…
